@{b}About :@{ub}
@{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} is (hopefully) a nice application to @{b}monitor@{ub} and to
@{b}control@{ub} some features of your @{fg highlight}APOLLO AC68080 processor@{fg text}.
The main @{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} window display, realtime, the processor @{b}MIPS@{ub},
also @{b}FLOPS@{ub} if available, and some other useful informations.
In addition, it also provides some controls on the board and
the processor from the system menus. Have a look to @{"Usage" link Usage}.
The application offers a fancy graphical user interface, with
basic skins ability, that makes use of the @{fg highlight}RTG truecolor capa-
bilities@{fg text} of your P96 setup. It is much better viewed on such
colorful RTG screenmodes.
However, @{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} will still run on the Amiga legacy chipset
screenmodes, thanks to the awesome @{fg highlight}guigfx.library@{fg text}. Please,
refers to the @{"Requirements" link Requirements} chapter for the pre-requisites.
@{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} is fully coded in Motorola M68K assembly, using the
HiSoft Devpac 3.18 compiler for Amiga, and with some third
party tools such as Gimp to prepare the graphical assets.

@prev About
@{b}Installation :@{ub}
The installation of this program on your setup, is very trivial,
simply move the whole folder @{fg highlight}"VCPU"@{fg text} into your prefered directory,
such as into @{fg highlight}"SYS:System/"@{fg text} or into any own partition/folder.
Copy all the files provided in the archive, and all will be OK.
@{b}Remarks :@{ub}
No ASSIGN is necessary.
However, there are a number of needed components in your AmigaOS system.
Please read carefully the next @{"Requirements" link Requirements} chapter.

@node Requirements "Requirements"
@prev Installation
@{b}Kickstart requirements@{ub} :
This application require at least a @{fg highlight}Kickstart 3.0@{fg text} or newers.
@{b}Hardware requirements@{ub} :
Since @{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} stands for "Vampire CPU",
It will obviously requires an @{fg highlight}APOLLO AC68080 processor@{fg text} like the one
into any Vampire accelerator boards (V500, V600, V1200) or the one
into the Vampire V4 standalone Amiga-compatible computer.
If the APOLLO AC68080 is NOT detected, the program will NOT launch.
@{b}Software requirements@{ub} :
@{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} is best viewed (by far) on a @{fg highlight}colorful P96 RTG screenmode@{fg text}.
You need to install properly this RTG system to your setup in
order to fully enjoy this program, otherwise the interest will
be quite limited, to be honest.
@{fg highlight}VCPU@{fg text} loads and use a number of components to work properly.
Please make sure you have @{fg highlight}the following files installed@{fg text} on your system.
