@humenda As i seen before several projects incorporated wiktionari and omegawiki to their dictionaries. Maybe we should think about merging them? Also what about getting a big free list of eng words and translating them into all (some) languages by any means at least per one translated word. Would it be possible without copyright infrigement?
And its offtopic but how can I contact you? Want to discuss the future of free dictionaries.
@lflserg You cannot merge Wiktionary and FreeDict. The scopes are just too
different. We are not importing all dictionaries (from Wiktionary/OMEGA), rather
take those where we currently don't have a better alternative. Our main scope is
to acquire and redistribute free dictionaries. Focussing on one provider is
against the idea.
I'm not sure about your "word list" approach, but this is unfortunately not the
right place to discuss this. Would you please start a discussion on our mailing
list? <https://www.freelists.org/list/freedict> If you still prefer an off-list
contact, please clone fd-dictionaries. The commits contain my email address.
http://ferheng.org/ offers kurdish dictionaries which are already part of
FreeDict. It would be good to (re)import them if they have changed at all.
