Gear Optimizer Stopping

When doing a search in optimizer after clicking start the search will start. After a random increment of searches go through (have seen numbers from 4mil to 100mil) it will just stop increasing permutations searched. Program works normally afterwards. If cancel search and restart it will freeze at the same amount. Restarting the program changes the amount it freezes at but not by a consistent amount up or down.
