Here is the lesson folder.

[why?] Talks are a huge part of science communication. But there are a lot of tricky issues in making a presentation, and different formats require different "algorithms".

[how?]
This is the basic outline of this lesson:

  • Reinforcing Storytelling.
  • Presentations.
    2.1 Do you need them?
2.2 Ok, you decided you need presentation. How do you make SUPERB slides?
    2.2.1 Scripts and timing.
2.2.2 How to choose good images for your slides.
2.2.3 How do you use your slides to suport your presentation, not the opposite?
    2.2.4 Fonts.
    2.2.5 Layout.
  • Body language, voice intonation.
  • Examples of good talks.

Activities ideas:

  • Ignite talks
  • "FameLab" talks
  • Talks in the bar / improvisation

You can help by creating fancy slides in Google Presentations using our template, making an activity roadmap in a md in the folder or in Google Docs using our template, gathering resources in a md file in the folder (or here in the Issue) or giving feedback here in the issue.

Please, consider taking a look at our tips on making our lessons more accessible.

[what?] An 8h lesson on making a great presentation.
