Which licenses are compatible with the MIT license; in the sense of including the other license as a library? I'm looking at including a library or two, and I don't want to add library that won't work with the MIT license.

As long as the other license allows combination with the MIT license it'll be fine afaik (I'm not a lawyer!). I think the majority of licenses do allow this - the big exception is probably the GPL.
Apache will allow for the library to be included, as long as it is credited.
BSD (1, 2, or 3) will allow for the library to be included, and doesn't require notice.
