certbot-auto doesn't exist in my distro (Fedora 40). From memory, I don't believe it exists in Ubuntu/Debian either. Perhaps at some point it was certbot-auto but now it's just certbot.
rm -rf /etc/letsencrypt/accounts/* deletes ALL accounts. It's possible you may have other registrations. A better approach would be to suggest rm -rf /etc/letsencrypt/accounts/<server address>.
