Is this a known issue? I've noticed that when an option is selected, it doesn't seem to recognize that selected option and nothing happens.

I know this is a bit late, but could you perhaps expand on your explanation a bit? Is Minimalect not updating the original select, or is the original select changing not updating in Minimalect? Check 5bb4226 if it didn't solve your issue.
