"I’m working on $ADOPT, a tax token on Solana (SPL 2022) designed to support animal shelters and e-adoption through a platform called AdoptNow. The idea is that each transaction with $ADOPT has a small tax (0.75%), and 25% of the ADOPT allocation which helps fund shelters and charity organisations.
For governance, I’d like to set up a DAO where token holders can vote on key decisions—such as which shelters receive funding, platform upgrades, or future partnerships. Ideally, the DAO would allow staking-based governance (without making the token a security), treasury management, and potentially quadratic voting to empower smaller holders.
Since SPL 2022 allows for taxed transactions and advanced token mechanics, I want to ensure that the DAO can handle governance based on a taxed token while integrating smoothly with our platform.
Would love to hear your thoughts on whether Common.xyz could support this use case!
