[BUG] Sort by 'Due Soon' is useless because it shows hundreds of projects with expired due dates first #6651

Describe the bug
When sorting projects by 'Due soon' the user has to trawl through hundreds of very old projects with due dates that have long expired. These are very unlikely to be priority projects any more. Have to got through 20+ pages of projects to finally get to projects with upcoming due dates (that will actually be a priority).

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Explore projects'
  2. Click on 'Sort by'
  3. Choose 'Due soon'
  4. Notice that the fist 21 or so pages of projects are those with expired due dates

Expected behavior
When sorting by 'Due soon': Show projects with due dates that are still upcoming first, then should show projects with expired due dates at the back of the list.

See image showing that when sorted by 'Due soon' have to go to page 21 currently to see first projects with upcoming due dates. Project in top left is last one that had an expired due date:
