There are a number of features that would be good to give access to on any screen (like going back "home", maybe track progress in the future and get some info screen about the current unit). I suggest the icon of a Home, any type of line based progress indicator, and a question mark. The question mark icon would display basic meta data about the course, and also link to help or other feedback mechanism.
