I came across your project randomly right around the time it dropped and became interested in all of this stuff. This was my first use of a Raspberry Pi, my first time soldering headers, and my first time using Putty. It's been a fun experience and I thank you for the inspiration. I'm really looking forward to updates and learning how to optimize and modify my Bjorn. I'd also like to try the new WaveShare HAT+ Display if possible.

I am having issues with it not wanting to install python.

I had some issues with Python at first also. I don't know if you need Python in addition to Putty, but I happened to have it installed already, so not sure. I can't remember exactly what issue I had because this was a while ago and was for updating the firmware of a Flipper Zero add-on board. I would recommend uninstalling it, then reinstalling the latest version, and right-click on the installer and "Run as Administrator". Also make sure you check all the additional option boxes when you go through the installation, especially "Add Python to PATH" and any option that mentions adding "Pip" or "PowerShell". Like I said, just check all the optional settings, and you should be good. If you already managed to install it successfully but did not check those options, you don't need to uninstall, you can just run the installer again to modify the existing install. Once it's installed, you should be able to access the proper commands via PowerShell, but the traditional cmd.exe Command Prompt won't work with Python in my experience. You can just run cmd.exe and open a new tab and that should get you where you need to be. I hope this helps, but it is all new to me also, so you may want to ask in a more appropriate place.

I'm glad to hear it. I had to run the ARM version because I'm on a new Surface 11 Pro and it runs a Snapdragon 12-core ARM processor and NPU. It has caused me a lot of issues with other software. Just a heads up, you may need to change some settings in the System > Developer menu depending on what else you get up to, especially if you need to use the "sudo" command. It's not a menu you'll likely find by just navigating the GUI so you can just search for it. Happy Hunting!
