I've been testing your example notebook and this package looks awesome. Precedence and soft bounds are awesome ideas!
It reminds me of a tool that I build almost a year ago that allows me to build complex widgets dashboard. Nobody seems to care about it, but it really saves time when it comes to build widget based apps.
I am planning on using paramnb as an intermediate layer between shaolin and ipywidgets in order to make it fully independent from the ipywidgets package.
If you wanna take a look at the tool i wrote here are some examples:
Sounds great! We are using paramnb in several current projects, and have some plans for where it's heading. I'd be glad to work with you to help make it get wider usage, and we could set up a video meeting if you'd like to brainstorm about it. Plus, my daughter takes Kung Fu, so I appreciate the references. :-)
