How to do versioning for my flutter application

I need to version my application using hive because whenever I update it, the application does not open.
I need to clear the memory for it to open, how can I prevent this?

You mean because you changed the structure of your hive boxes, e.G. changed data type etc...? And there is still old data stored in the client which conclicts with the new data structure?
