Is there any specific reason the min version is 3.10 and not 3.9/8? I agree you shouldn't have to support super old versions of Python, but unfortunately a popular cloud env we use that we don't control is stuck on 3.9 due to Microsoft's infinite wisdom.

Sorry to hear about your version predicament. Yes, the minimum Python version is indeed 3.10 (released on October 4, 2021) because the uroman code uses union types written as X | Y (PEP 604). The latest Python version is 3.12.4 (released on June 6, 2024).
