Sorry for the slow response.
Thanks for the response anyway. ;-)
Sure, I could add a namespace to my code here. There are a few third party libraries in the libs folder though, which I'd rather not modify.
It would be great if you could find a new / prefixed / postfixed name for the whole library as well. We just need to find a sensible name for the Debian package and have no idea whet might be sensible. Regarding the third party libraries (which I noticed) in Debian we link against the Debian packaged libraries anyway. Do you remember any patches you applied to those libraries?
Which package depends on this `seqlib`?
I stumbled upon seqlib when trying to package https://github.com/lbcb-sci/graphmap2 .
Kind regards and thanks a lot for your cooperation, Andreas.

Any idea for a pre-/post-fix to the name or a changed name? |

In mails on our mailing list people were refereing to your code as isovic-seqlib. I doubt that this is a really good name choice but at least it would solve the name space pollution issue and if you might not come up with some better suggestion I could imagine to use this.
Kind regards, Andreas.

It would be really helpful if you could make some naming suggestion. Otherwise we'll probably go with isovic-seqlib. |
Hi,
in the COVID-19 fighting effort of the Debian Med team where we try to package software that is relevant to do research on COVID-19 I stumbled upon seqlib as a dependency of some of the projects. That name was ringing a bell since we just have a package of seqlib ... but its a totally different project. I will file an issue on "the other seqlib" to trigger some discussion about a sensible name. In any case we need distinguishable names inside Debian and I would love to do this with both authors confirmance.
Kind regards, Andreas.
