At present time we are only giving out static Device_IDs, ( or the ID for a given instance of OKSE), ideally our client would somehow control/fetch the Device_ID and pass it to the rest of the system

Or to be more precise - ideally we should have a way to register a device that has not been seen before. Albeit we are abusing our current data model, as device was more intended to be a physical device rather than a piece of software. So in the future, we should have a concept of both device_id and app_id so we can distinctly differentiate what app / software is running on which device. Devices should be registered based on their mac-address, or some other equally distinct unique identifier.
