As far as I can tell, since libvlc is removed from the player I lost the ability to play xvid/divx contents. I have audio but just black screen as video. In older versions I just switch between the two players. Am I missing something or exoplayer is not capable to play those files?
Sadly half of my collection is encoded such format and if there is some plan to support these then I won't need to re-encode them (and smash the already poor quality even further).
If I read it right, then with kodi I could play these videos, but don't want to give up on this magnificient player.
Also aware that if I would set up server side transcoding, that would solve this issue, but don't have the hardware to do such thing.
