If I set up a requestmapping that only produces json (produces = MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON_VALUE) I get:

  • If no Accept header -> error on default format (might be different than the produces above)

This is not consistent with how Spring MVC behaves out of the box for Rest services, and does not feel sensible.
