How to setup recurring tasks?

Hi! Would just like to say, what an amazing tool this is - thank you for developing it :)

I'm just wondering how to enable recurring tasks? I saw somewhere its in the "Advanced settings" but I don't seen an option for it. I'm on the latest docker version

Hey there! Thanks for asking this. The reoccurring task config has been moved to the task additional info panel, which you can open by clicking the little speech bubble when hovering a task. In the side panel you can find it under "Repeat"

Sorry, that I have to reopen this issue, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the repeat function, even with your description.
It just doesn't seem to be where it's supposed to be!

It's probably super easy, but I'm going crazy trying to find it!

Here's the steps:

1. Select a task
2. Click on the Additional Info button (Shortcut: 'i' or 'right arrow key')
3. Click on Repeat option (screenshot below)

@fiatphos Thank you so much! Now I know, that I'm not completely crazy:
So as obvious from my screenshot, I'm missing this option for some reason. But I can't find anything in the Settings either. Again, since nobody else seems to have this problem running v11.1.2, the problem should be on my end. But what?
Any ideas?

I finally figured it out: recurring tasks are only applicable if the task is NOT imported via calendar or Jira or whatever.
I don't know exactly how recurring tasks are implemented internally, but could it not be possible also to have "external" tasks repeat themselves?

Hi, thank you! Is it possible to change the background image for projects & task menu as well?

You can change the background image for each tag/project. The menu has no background, but if you want you can use custom themes (which would allow for that if you make the theme yourself).
