It could be useful to have a fbrnch flag or command (similar to fedpkg-stage) which interacts with Fedora staging.
To avoid duplicating code, fbrnch could also just look at the command which is typed, and if it finds fbrnch-stage, it switches a flag internally. And the fbrnch-stage binary would only be a symlink to fbnrch.
