[Question] Footnotes in compile?

How do footnotes act when you compile the manuscript into one document?

Footnotes are presented at the end of the compiled manuscript. Thus footnotes are rendered into Endnotes.
My Request: I would like to preserve footnotes to be compiled as Foot/Endnotes at the end of each chapter. But have the option, as now, to render footnotes into endnotes, at the end of the compilation.
