- add ability to map meta-types (collections, Lazy<T> etc) as root level-types. That is a mandatory feature
- add support for mapping A --> B where B has .ctor that takes A as argument. (not sure we need this OOTB?)
- add support for flattened mapping (and name it better). Make it easy to map Foo (and FooDetails) --> FooDto making it apppear to the mapper as if FooDetails properties were coming direectly from Foo (?)
- add support for asynchronous multistep pre-caching (low priority)
- add ability to provide configuration values
- add ability to log the mapping path so that it can be inspected for errors
- add ability to map into interfaces (w/o providing implementation) NOTE: this alternatively could be implemented via simple outsourcing to Castle Dynamic components (DynamicProxy or Adapter)
- add ability to build converters chains so that multiple converters gets applied to single mapping step
- be mindful of existing API for conversion and play nice with it when possible. Example IValueConverter for WPF, TypeDescriptor, Convert class etc
- add support to mapping to existing collections:
- specifying how to match elements
- based on that find elements to update
- add new ones
- remove unmatched (?) - optionally
- for Windsor's intergration in conversion pattern repository utilise IGenericServiceStrategy
