About me |
Hey there! I'm Linfeng, but you can call me Daniel. At my core, I'm a cryptographer with a deep passion for advancing blockchain technology and decentralized systems. My days are filled with designing cutting-edge cryptographic protocols, crafting robust identity systems, and integrating advanced techniques like multiparty computation, zero-knowledge proofs and post-quantum cryptography into innovative blockchain solutions. I'm constantly exploring new ways to push the boundaries of privacy and security in distributed systems.
My journey in cryptography has been exhilarating:
- I've contributed to groundbreaking projects at Coinbase, where I was a major contributor to the open-source Kryptology library and Coinbase Wallet and Decentralized Identity.
- I've designed confidential blockchain networks for financial services, enhancing privacy and security in the financial sector.
- I've pursued academic research in cryptography, focusing on blockchain proof-of-stake consensus and zero-knowledge proofs.
- I've made valuable contributions to open-source projects like Hyperledger Fabric, helping to shape the foundation of enterprise blockchain solutions.
Beyond my work as a cryptographer, I'm deeply involved in nurturing the growth of the Web3 ecosystem:
- I co-founded Pepper Ventures, where we invest in promising early-stage Web3 startups, helping to shape the future of decentralized technologies.
- I founded Fertile Fields Labs to provide top-tier crypto services to Web3 companies and asset management firms, bridging the gap between traditional finance and the crypto world.
- I advise various Web3 companies on cryptography and security, particularly in zero-knowledge proofs and secure AI/machine learning applications, fostering innovation at the intersection of these cutting-edge fields.
My mission is to leverage cryptography to make the decentralized web more secure, efficient, and accessible. Whether it's through developing novel cryptographic protocols, implementing secure blockchain systems, or mentoring the next generation of crypto projects, I'm always working to advance the field.
