This would allow for nice integration into the contemporary Chinese lifestyle, and very convenient news submissions. However, there could be a lot of preparatory work (and even paperwork / corporate entity things) so I would like some help from the community.

Update: I've just repurposed my personal WeChat 公众号 to this project, with ID changed to areweloongyet.

Next steps:

  • Design an avatar for the 公众号 -- aspect ratio 1:1, dimensions/DPI unclear, rasterized.
  • Provision a backend service -- in this repo or a new one? language? framework?
  • Learn and implement basic backend features -- identity management, audit records, etc.
  • Maybe learn how to make a WeChat mini-program
