LPS Studio shows black page

I've tried this one: https://github.com/lps-js/lps.js/blob/master/examples/fire-example-studio.lps
and https://github.com/lps-js/lps.js/blob/master/examples/studio.lps

But I've got a blank interface like this:

I have found this exact problem too and have spent hours trying to understand it without much luck. I have tried many different version (of both lps-studio and node and tried it on M$ , Linux and MacOS - no difference whatsoever). It makes me wonder if it ever worked as shown in the GIF(!)
