Question marks in feed

What did you expect to happen?

I expect a clean formatted feed to my Facebook Instant Articles with correct punctuation

What happened instead?

In Instant Articles feed some punctuation gets replaced by a ? instead of the original punctuation marks. In particular apostrophes, dashes and quotation marks,

So, where an article uses an apostrophe in Wordpress, it frequently appears in the IA article with a ?
For example, {it's} appears as {it?s}

Similarly hyphens
For example, {the man - Stuart} appears as {the man ? Stuart}

Similarly quotation marks
for example {Stuart says,"Hello"} appears as {Stuart says, ?Hello?}

How can we reproduce this behavior?
