I think the calver.org homepage would really benefit from some clear examples.

There are some in the projects mentioned, but having a section with some examples and explanations how they break down into calver components would be helpful I think.

Can you give me some examples of examples you'd like to see added beyond the ones above?

I actually just read the site for the first time and strongly agree with the OP. Links to example projects is not what is missing, rather explicit example strings like 2024.06.23 and 2023.04.02-rc1.
