Within Mate, Settings, Keyboard shortcuts:
It's currently possible to define a keyboard shortcut to tile windows to:
But there is no option to tile to the top-half or the bottom-half.
This would be a nice feature to have, especially for anyone who uses a monitor in a portrait orientation.
