Wio-E5 can’t save settings with web client

I have edited the code for the Wio-E5 and compiled for a similar board (Ebyte E77 dev board). The web client connects and I can view the initial default settings. However, when I try to change and save any settings through the web client, but nothing saves.

Is this an issue with the Wio-E5 too, as it uses the same chip? Should I be using the serial cli?

See #5960, the Wio-E5 doesn't have a working filesystem yet and you need to compile it with your userPrefs.
