Bad server address #2
Comments
Thanks for your feedback. The server should work with or without http://
This is on my to do list.
A full EPG almost made it to this release but I didn't like the way it looked. Will be added later.

Thanks. Just to clarify, I didn't mean an IPTV server running TVHeadend. I've been struggling to get TVHeadend working with a ZGemma H2.S running the iptvremote plugin. It works fine for streaming and providing an EPG to Kodi (LibreElec) with the IPTV Simple Client but, of course, lacks a recording function. The UI for TVHPlayer doesn't offer fields for an m3u playlist or EPG in the form of an XML file. It would be a great get out of jail for me (and anyone else trying to get TVHeadend working with an Enigma2 / similar IPTV server) if it did. EPG: You've probably seen TVHAdmin -- worth a look if not. Very much looking forward to next release! Just for background: I have 4 LNB ports with one spare and I've got an ethernet switch in the attic, so I'm hoping to put the ZGemma H2.S there and to be able to record on a PC in my study. I don't have a spare tuner elsewhere (2 PVRs w one each, plus TV). I'm aiming to add another recorder. PS Yes, I'm setting up an IPTV Automatic network and furnishing the m3u playlist. Channels found OK but the services are not for reasons I'm struggling with. Quick pointers welcome if you have any but I don't want to ask you to support TVHeadend. I'll post on the TVHeadend forum if I can't resolve; I had a quick peek earlier and got usefully sidetracked with your very nice application :-) |
@harmlessdrudge I've never used enigma boxes but i think they support sat>ip which is supported by TVheadend too. So maybe words to check out. Also regarding TVH failling to add your channels, try setting service id 0 for your network or use "type overrides ". |
Ran this on Linux Mint 22. Only one trivial problem: I put http in front of the server address at first. Once I fixed that I was in business. Very impressed. (Saw this for first time 2 hours after this release).
The order and numbering of my list of channels didn't match my (LibreElec) system and one, at least, didn't appear, but broadly it looked OK.
A timeline view of the EPG would be nice.
An ability to record locally from an IPTV Server would be fantastic (I am currently trying to get TVHeadend working with one).
What else? How about an optional Wake-On-LAN feature for each server? --just to complete the one-stop-shop.
