Hi @EA12, at this point we are fully focused on moving forward with @fluentui/react-components, the v9 version of the library, and we are on support-mode only for v8, which wouldn't allow us to make time for a feature like this. If you would like to contribute the feature, however, we would be glad to review the PR 😄.

I would also suggest you try to upgrade to the v9 version of the library to get the latest and greatest in terms of our accessibility, styling and usability improvements that come from moving to v9.
