I was unsure if this was a bug or not, my assumption is something to do with the server it is run on but I want to get a second opinion if possible.

Server used:

Windows Server 2016
Build 14393.rs1_release.220429-1732
64gb Ram
16 Core

The code is really simple and can be found below with a couple things marked "REDACTED" for privacy.

The error I get back I have looked in the bug reports and online and can't seem to pinpoint what is wrong with my code, if it is anything. I run my code in a python venv to avoid potential issues there. The error I get running the sio logger can be found below.

The problem is that the server is closing your connection for some reason. Is this server under your control? You may need to look on the server logs to get more clues.

The client should normally reconnect on its own, your log even shows that it attempted to reconnect. But without knowing which server this is I can't really do much. Maybe ask whoever maintains the server to explain why you are being disconnected?

I could try but chances are they won't say much. Asked around and other had the same issue so what I am going to do it just run a try/except to reconnect each time it drops.

https://github.com/socketio/socket.io/releases/tag/4.6.2 dev says this is the socketio version they are using

@the-jolley-boy did you ever figure this problem out? I am having a similar issue with my client. We are also running the client on a windows server.

@hydrohd I did not in terms of continuing to use async with it. I have not fully tried to remake my script without it, but someone else who was using similar code before said once he changed to a non async script it worked without any issues. I know that may not help you but in terms for getting my async script to work I just re-establish the connection every x time which my not be a perfect fix but for my usage it works well.
