One-step installer? #25

I'll make package when MobiRuby will be release version. Currently, it's alpha version. I aim to release Q1 2013. |
already 10 days +,no changed code |
I'm working hard on mruby what support debugger now. Please wait a moment. |
thanks for your hard work! |
+1 I agree that mruby and mobiruby are hard to build. Still, there's a lot of help from @masuidrive and others if you need help setting it up. (I'm new to Mac, iOS dev, and somewhat new to Ruby, and I still managed to get it working with the help of the community here.) |
I agreed. But I have too many things to do. |
I think MobiRuby will be RubyGem package. |
@mcandre is your question about creating MobiRuby apps easily or about setting up and installing all the environment stuff? I think the latter is hard (and could benefit from an installer or something), but the current rake script does most of it; you just need to install prerequisites. |
@ashes999 Setting up dev environments is not fun. I would greatly appreciate basic installation packages that don't require any work by the user. I would be happiest if we put packages for mobiruby on: Thanks for all the hard work you've put in, Masui! |
Could mobiruby be packaged into a one-step installer for ease of use? Perhaps a Ruby .gem, Mac .pkg, Homebrew recipe, a Makefile, or even just a bash .sh script?
