The test suite fails if Mojolicious is already installed with a version >= 8.12 and < 8.28:

Mojolicious version 8.28 required--this is only version 8.12 at t/promise_actions.t line 9.
t/promise_actions.t .. 
Dubious, test returned 255 (wstat 65280, 0xff00)
No subtests run

Sorry, this should read: >= 7.66
