• The 'apps' and 'Windows' taskbar menus come with the program - the easiest way is to delete part of the code in /imports/taskbar.nss (delete+save and reload the program)

open file '\imports\goto.nss' find and delete:
'window.is_taskbar||' (let only this remain 'where=sel.count')

open file '\imports\taskbar.nss' find and delete:
'menu(title="Apps" ....' to the end along with '}'
'menu(title=title.windows ....' to the end along with '}'
'item(title=title.taskbar_Settings ...' the entire line
'item(title=title.desktop ....' the entire line

open file '\imports\taskbar.nss' and add at the end of the file:

don't forget to reload the app or restart Windows Explorer after each change to see if you did everything right

• about position: in the example above, I set it to be at the top with 'pos=0'. Nowhere higher (but other logic may apply to the arrangement). In my picture it looks like it's not at the top, but that's because I want other commands to be there. If you want send me '\imports\taskbar.nss' to look at.
• about 22H2: there is no command to retrieve this information and show it in the menu, otherwise I would have provided a solution for this. I can put it as fixed text, just enough to have it. (I have an idea, when I have time to test it I will write, not what you want, but as close as possible)

it matters which file you import first - here's what to do:

open file '\imports\taskbar.nss' and remove the code you added:

download winver.zip , extract the file into ''\imports', open '\shell.nss' and add before 'import 'imports/terminal.nss' '
