Curious to know if it's possible to get MPV working with my setup. MPV played perfectly before my upgrade from Big Sur to Sequoia using Open Core Legacy Patcher. After the upgrade, except for MPV, everything I threw at Sequoia works flawlessly (including VLC). MPV starts and closes immediately. I deleted the older version of MPV and installed 0.39 with no change. VLC is great but I have so many options via the .config file with MPV so I would prefer to try to get it working. Any help to get it working again with OSX15 would be appreciated. Below are some specs and an excerpt of the Crash report when I try to play an .mp4 video: mpv 0.39.0 Copyright © 2000-2024 mpv/MPlayer/mplayer2 projects My Laptop: Thread 16 Crashed:: vo |

you can try your infos are a bit too vague to say anything and other infos are missing. this would be better placed as a proper issue instead of a discussion, since the issue templates asks for a lot of the needed infos. this crash is in moltenvk. either the build is broken, metal isn't working properly on your end or moltenvk is broken. |

you can try
vo=libmpv
instead of the new defaultvo=gpu
+ macvk context. it also probably works better on intel based macs.your infos are a bit too vague to say anything and other infos are missing. this would be better placed as a proper issue instead of a discussion, since the issue templates asks for a lot of the needed infos.
