the kids really seem to like the kahoots, I think adding them to the program and making it a part of the class before the quizzes will go a long way. maybe not right before the quizzes but I think this could be a way to find out what the kids are understanding and what is slipping through the cracks. I think closures and the keyword this are probably two of the trickier concepts and topics like that are will be benefitted by having reinforcement.
