Version 1.0.3 of Mu doesn't work in macOS Big Sur, the app never opens. How can I run Mu in macOS 11? |

The easiest way to run Mu in Big Sur is to download the latest alpha version from the Mu website: https://codewith.mu/en/download Alternatively, if you need to run v1.0.3, you can open it via the terminal. Assuming Mu was installed in the
WARNING! Due to the latest changes in macOS app permissions, current versions of Mu might not be able to interact with USB devices like the micro:bit, CircuitPython, etc. To resolve this issue follow the "Disk Permissions in OSX Catalina" instructions from https://codewith.mu/en/howto/1.0/install_macos#catalina-permissions. The next beta release of Mu will have fixed these issues and should run correctly in Big Sur. |

The new 1.1.0beta2 has been released 🎉 And thanks to the amazing work from @tmontes on the new application packager pup we have a new macOS installer that will work on Catalina and Big Sur without any additional configuration. |
