Some sites freeze

I have observed some sites freeze on loading, i.e. the scroll bar disappears ... e.g. on NYTimes.com, this happens consistently. This is on v14.0.5 (Mac M2, OS 15.3), with Standard Security Level settings. Links can be clicked, but the same problem occurs on the target page, or on going back to the previous page.
