Restoring a session opens an additional empty new tab on the left

Describe the bug

Every time I open a previously saved session, it also opens an additional empty new tab on the very left of my new window, which is not part of the actual stored session.

Reproduction

1. Save a session of a window with a few tabs (six in my case)
2. Close the window
3. Open a fresh window with only one empty new tab
4. Open sessionic and restore the previously created session
