Caddy Independent Reverse Proxy Configuration

I've looked at the discussion at #553 and I've basically come upon a similar problem. This is a similar problem (as mentioned in #543) to #543.

It looks like both nginx proxy and other automatic discovery reverse proxies require some configuration.

After looking at the apache container dockerfile and the master container dockerfile both it look like the configuration is very Caddy proxy manager specific.

Are there any plans or prs that would be accepted and collaborated on to make it possible for other reverse proxies like nginx or/and traefik to be able to have configuration files and an official setup (like: #491 #450 #447)? It would require some work to make the dockerfiles flexible enough to enable different configuration files and code necessary to make that happen.

apache container will not work... I'll add this to the documentation

yeah exactly. It works just fine for the aio container, but doesn't work without environment variables

okay good to know. I fear we will then not be able to support nginx-proxy anyway...

If you really want to use AIO, I'll recommend to switch to caddy. It is simply amazing.
Of course understandable if that is not possible for you.
