Describe the bug

The Dexcom G7 had a signal loss and the bg went stale in Trio, but after the bg came back, it didn’t update and just showed the old wrong bg, it didn’t give any basal neither

etc even though we updated the bg manually. There seemed to be no way to get the trio app to restart until I did a new build and updated it through TestFlight. I had tried to restart the app (swipe up and reopen), restart the phone, delete the CGM from trio (which didn’t want to work at all, it took several attempts to force it to scan). That lasted for about 53min.

I think @avouspierre is looking into something related to this, but not sure if it’s the same thing.

Great, btw kind of weird that it didn’t give any basal as it looked like to me, but I could manually give insulin. So the pump was responsive.

When the loop symbol is red, it indicates that the app could not complete the looping calculations, and hence is not able to make decisions regarding basal or bolus modulations. So then you can only make manual adjustments of bolus or temp basal (in the Dash pump view).

But, I’m prolly mixing up things here, in Loop (sorry) the basal continues to be given even if it’s not looping e.g. out of range. That is what I was thinking. Possible also, that the basal was given earlier but I didn’t see it. It was all a bit frantic/panicky to be honest.

You had a long lasting temp target running that was started by the previous successful loop. This will run to completion if looping fails thereafter. A difference between Trio and Loop is that Trio can set zero temp basals of up to two hours. Loop probably sets shorter TBRs than this, so you would likely have seen the pump reverting to programmed basal at this point.

Feel free to to continue the discussion in Discord, as it’s not related to the CGM issue 😊

It just happened again. Dexcom went stale and Trio stopped looping and even when Dexcom was back on, it didn’t update. After several restarts of the Dexcom app, the Trio app, deleting the CGM and re-establishing it, it came back.
It happened around 20.45.

Sorry to be so persistent, tonight we changed sensors and what ever I try, I can't get Trio to update the bg values. I have tried the recipe from discord/dexcom (several times too) and it didn't work.
The only thing which works right now, is changing the CGM to Nightscout.
