NixOS no themes, icons, or cursors found

I may be missing something simple, but I'm not seeing anything show up in nwg-look on NixOS. For example after installing a theme:

environment.systemPackages = [
    pkgs.solarc-gtk-theme
];

or cursors:

environment.systemPackages = [
    pkgs.phinger-cursors
];

nwg-look doesn't seem to find them.
