Passing message through Inlet -> Pipe -> Outlet

Inlet -> Pipe -> Outlet

How can I pass the data/message generated from the inlet down to the outlet ?

My message is being passed from the Inlet to the Pipe but then after that the Outlet only receives the message generated by the Pipe (any modifications to the user message or any added system prompt does not make it from the Inlet to the Outlet through my Pipe)

Should I be doing something different instead (manifolds maybe?)

I need to dig further but it seems like this orchestration is happening from open-webui (i.e. the UI component) that handles what is passed to the different 'stages' / filters of the pipeline
