Can we annotate JSON Schemas?

e.g Have a annotation with an archetype id and a link to it in ? Github ?

Doing a bit of reading around this and here's some stuff I've found.

• it doesn't look like JSON schema can at present be annotated, but some people would like it to be annotated https://github.com/json-schema-org/json-schema-spec/issues/309

• There are other attempts to make an annotatable JSON data language. Example I found is JSON-LD https://json-ld.org/ which is for linked data (I guess akin to RDF/OWL etc, but perhaps more likely to get traction since it's just JSON) This 'linked data' model is kind of what we are trying to do when we link out to an archetype definition, albeit that the destination we link to isn't going to be machine-understandable in the same way.
