Description

i'm currently following the course no. 2,
and i'm trying to exercise with the example snippets,
not only the ones in the lab sections.

hence, i'd suggest to make the snippets self contained cobol programs,
or at least pasteable in some template.

the existent snippets may already be copied from the pdf,
but i'd appreciate this approach even if the book would be printed.

Problems

as i'm quite new to cobol, and a cobol program usually has
heavy overhead as subdivision of code and jcl,
paperwork takes too much time at the expense of learning
the payload.
