Student had difficulty in rounding values as she complained about the word “Rounded”. She preferred the word “Rounded Up” to the nearest values.
With values such as 54 been rounded to the nearest hundred: after several attempts, he was a little frustrated and almost lost interest. He suggested the hints should be more explanatory on the task at hand rather than taking them to the previous lessons alone.
Based on the above, we should do the following:
Ensure it's clear to students that they need to figure out whether to round up or round down (i.e. the direction of rounding won't always be given to them).
Make the in-question hints for "round 54 to the nearest hundred" clearer. Try to avoid only taking the learner to a previous card.
