Goal

Make it possible to use a local instance of the public API for integration testing.

Description

Make sure there is a way to make the (local) extension (and tests) to be able to connect to a version of the public API running on localhost.
This probably requires to move the URLs so a config file or similar.

Crazy idea from @adrinjalali: user can choose what backend to use, including local
