Single screen unable to have multiple listeners

Hi,
I have found that within a single screen, there will not able to work with multiple listener even though targets are different.
for example in our products page, we have listener for category and sub- category, also have listener for variant(s) select.
Both category listener and variants listener will trigger whenever either category's target is trigger or variants' target is triggered.

Any suggestion or alternative ways to do it?
