Course images load very slow or not at all (server dependant?)

Hi.
I included some low resolution images in the project.
When loading the final project trough (https://liascript.github.io/course/?https://api.allorigins.win) the text appears first and then it takes up to 5 seconds for the images (png) to show up. Sometime they are not displayed / broken. The only svg image loads always and just fine.
When changing slides some already displyed image can be also appear broken.

All images appear normal in the local editor.

We are about to send the project as preview for feedback and now this problem with images makes me wander if the webserver (its a freespace limacity.de webserver) could cause this or is enything else going wrong in the background?

I use firefox and chrome, this happens in both.

For now I circumvented the problem by uploading and hardcoding the media urls in the liascript. Now the images load and display instantly.
Overall I noticed that the loading of the course README.md is sometimes very slow, several seconds.
Does this have to do with the in between parser https://api.allorigins.win/raw ?
